Embed a live map on your web page!
The GpsGate Server AJAX API enables you to embed maps with live position data and tracks on your own web page from GpsGate.com or any other GpsGate Server installation.
To get started you can just “cut and paste” our sample scripts to display a map with live positions for a group of users on your web page.

Getting started
Complete these steps to get started with your first live map:
- Create a BuddyTracker account on GpsGate.com
- Create a public group you want to show on your web page
- Add code to your web page from our cut’n paste page

Terms of use
GpsGate.com Web Services are available as a beta service free of charge. To use the API on your web page you need to include the following code on your webpage, it includes the GpsGate logo and a links to GpsGate.com:

Privacy
Privacy for GpsGate users is important. Therefore the following rules apply when you want to present data for a GpsGate user on your web page.
Group level:
- To receive data, you have to provide a group name in each request (i.e. it has to be known to your application)
- Data requests are only granted for public groups
- The group owner can limit access to to the groups data by explicitly naming (white-listing) requesting sites. All other sites are denied access
User level:
- Historical data, such as track data, can only be received for a certain user if the user has granted this for the specific group
