Focus: scalability and user interface
GpsGate Server’s capacity to handle tens of thousands of active devices requires a command panel that is intuitive and effective for large volumes of commands. Here’s how we make that happen:
Separate historical and in-progress command activity tabs. Operators can quickly switch views using the toggle in the top right hand corner of the panel.
Command history view with summary statistics. The command panel collects all the command activity and groups it by command name. This lets you quickly analyse whether the commands executed without viewing individual results.
Detailed historical command view. You can expand the command to see a table with detailed information on a specific historical command result.
Pending command view with progress stats. A progress bar shows the current status of each command group. You always have clear oversight on what’s happening because the progress bar updates and resizes in real-time.
Detailed pending command view. You can expand the command to see a table with detailed information on a specific pending command. You can even abort the command for any device by using the ‘abort’ button in the table.
The command panel uses our push technology, so information is sent to the UI in real-time by the server. Geek speak: the command progress bars use hardware graphics acceleration when available. Why it matters: the progress bars animate smoothly and are responsive on even the largest servers.
The command panel is included as a base feature in GpsGate Server 5.
