Back in 2003, the first GPS-equipped Java phone Motorola i58sr was introduced by Nextel in the US. On January 29, 2004, AccuTracking.com was online as a GPS tracking service, with an i58sr app and an online static map generated from US Census TIGER Map service (Google Maps was not yet born) showing the location of the phone. The site grew fast and AccuTracking Inc. was incorporated in 2005.
