GpsGate VehicleTracker has a light weight web interface for mobile devices. You can use it to view your vehicles on a map and act on alarms in real time. You can send notifications with a direct login link over SMS or email to your mobile devices for any events in your solution.
The application is part of the standard GpsGate Server installation and it is available for all VehicleTracker (Server 2.3 build 1944 or later) users. The application works on most mobile devices with a web browser.
Login
Login to the mobile application at the following url:
[your_install_path]/vt
(for example: http://apps.gpsgate.com/vt)
You login with your normal user credentials.
Temporary Login Link
You can also login to the mobile application with temporary login credentials that can be sent to your mobile device as a url link.
Create an SMS or email notifier for your event rule. Add the “Mobile application login” variable to the notification message, as shown in the picture below, to let your operators login directly via the link sent in the message.
User Interface
The mobile application has a simple user interface to support most mobile devices on the market. The main web pages are:
- A list of available VehicleTracker Views
- A list of vehicles in the selected view
- Vehicle page with a map, vehicle information and active alerts
