A new reporting experience

The reporting experience is new and improved on the front-end and the back-end: UI, layout, geocoding, and REST. We give fleet managers the data and insights they need to increase efficiency and improve safety.

Our new reporting features are now live! After some time in preview release (and even more improvements!), they are available. Let’s do a recap of what’s new and improved.

Reporting updates

User interface

The redesigned reporting engine makes it easier to: manage reports, configure standard reports, create custom reports, and schedule reports to email automatically.

Report layout

Standard reports have a brand new layout that makes it easier to read and digest the data.

Geocoder

The address geocoder simplifies addresses for reporting, with address + city as the default. We recognize that too much information can create unnecessary distractions, so we skip extra fields like zip code, state, and country.

Delivery

Reports are often emailed, so we’ve optimized the delivery process to help ensure that they are always received. Smaller reports display directly in the inbox for simple viewing. For larger reports (based on file size), an email with a link is sent. This helps keep reports from getting stuck in SPAM filters.

Running large reports

Data-heavy reports require lots of processing. You can now work while you wait and a notification will alert you when a report is ready.

REST reporting resources

REST APIs for reporting management and automation are now available. You can to create reports, update reports, manage reporting file formats, and more by using the get / post / put / delete resources.
