Which GpsGate option should I choose?

GpsGate On-site lets you have your tracking server behind your firewall. You have the server, and you have the in-house IT skills to manage it.

GpsGate Cloud is an all-inclusive service hosted by GpsGate. We handle your server setup, server maintenance, and ongoing hosting. You can focus on growing your business while we handle the IT.

Is the trial really free? How does it work?

GpsGate On-site: you can track five (5) devices free (including using Road Works and Dispatch). Download GpsGate and set up your server. You will be charged monthly for tracked devices exceeding the five (5) free.

GpsGate Cloud: simply request your new account. GpsGate will set up your server and account, and you'll receive your credentials by email.

We have a 30-day satisfaction guaranteed policy. If you are not satisfied with GpsGate Cloud for any reason, simply cancel your account by contacting support@gpsgate.com within 30 days of your account registration. If you cancel before 30 days, no payment will be required, and you will never receive an invoice.

Do I have to sign a contract?

GpsGate pay as you go allows you complete flexibility. There is no commitment or annual contract. You are billed at the end of the month only for what you use (please note, GpsGate Cloud has a 25 device minimum). If you want to cancel your account, simply email us at support@gpsgate.com.

How is my monthly fee determined?

GpsGate bills at the end of each month so that you are charged only for what you used. Your fee is based on the average number of devices tracked throughout the month.

Can I use Google Maps with GpsGate?

GpsGate comes with a native map. You can choose to add on Google Maps when you sign up, or you may add Google Maps at any time. If you already have a Google license key, you can use this to activate Google Maps. Contact GpsGate to add Google Maps to your existing Cloud or On-site server.

Can I pay in another currency?

Yes - you may choose between USD and euros when paying your invoice online. For other options, please contact us.

What forms of payment does GpsGate accept?

GpsGate accepts all major credit cards in addition to Paypal. For larger transactions, you can pay via a bank transfer. Please contact us for details.

What happens to my data if I cancel my account?

GpsGate On-site: you will retain access to your historical data for all devices. No new data will be written with the exception of your five trial tracked devices. GpsGate On-site lets you track five devices for free, and these will continue to function. No new data can be received if you have more than 5 devices registered on the server.

GpsGate Cloud: you will need to export your data. GpsGate does not retain archived data for clients more than two weeks after cancellation or non-payment.

Can I purchase perpetual licenses?

Existing customers may purchase legacy licenses. GpsGate may also permit organizations with special invoicing needs (such as government agencies) to purchase perpetual licenses. Purchase legacy licenses here.

Are there premium features that require an extra monthly fee?

GpsGate offers a few premium solutions (Road Works and Dispatch) which require an extra monthly fee per user/license. With GpsGate On-site, you have five (5) free Road Works and/or Dispatch users. Please contact us for additional details.
