January 2026
We’re kicking off the year with practical improvements across GpsGate ✨ This month includes UI tweaks, small fixes, tracker updates, and Fleet app enhancements—all designed to make daily work easier.
One notable update: we've replaced Views with Groups, streamlining configuration and application management. Read on below for more specifics on this change. In the Fleet app, trip replay just got better with a new slider and speed graph.
See below for all the release details from January!
Developer & System Admin
The layer of 'Views' is now replaced by 'Groups.' Going forward, this means that instead of creating a View, and assigning a group to it, users can select and access the groups within the application. Before updating, please note these changes:
- Existing Views will not be migrated. Groups will become the primary way to filter and display assets on the map.
- If you currently have Views linked to multiple Groups, the update will mean that all Groups a user has access to will be selected by default. Users can manually select or deselect groups they do not want to display.
- You will continue to use the _ReadData privilege to control which devices and Groups a user can access with no need to manage Views going forward
- Still using the Dashboard Legacy plugin? We're still working on the change here, so the plugin update will be blocked with the January release to ensure system stability. But no worries, if your Dashboard Legacy plugin is no longer needed, you can uninstall it, or wait for the February release.
Mobile Fleet app:
- You can now replay trips with a slider that displays a line graph with the speed of the asset
- We've added the Greek language to our login screen
User Experience:
- Dropdown menus now include filtering by 'Groups' to reflect the removal of 'Views'
- In the Add asset Wizard, we've added a second tracker configuration command for Queclink devices that support SMS configuration. We've also added support for "Google Pixel" devices.
From our device integration team:
- 2 new Queclink trackers were integrated to our platform: the mini vehicle tracker GV55W, and the GL320MG, an advanced real-time asset tracker.
- Updates to signals for 27 Teltonika trackers to sync with the latest documentation
- Cypress Solutions tracker updates are now included in the Device Drivers plugin
User Experience
- Workspace improvements for better collapsing and expanding of outer columns
When bugs happen, we fix them to keep things running smoothly for you.
