October 2026
A refreshed Terminal, improved Geofences & REST API tools 🚀
This October, we're bringing more flexibility and control to GpsGate. The Terminal has received a major upgrade, with a clearer interface and more customization options to help you work with tracker data. We've also improved the Geofences experience, making it easier to manage geofences and see how they connect to Event Rules.
For developers and integrators, REST API documentation is now available directly in GpsGate, making it easier to explore and test endpoints without setting up an API key.
And there's more! GpsGate AI✨ is available for all applications, and you'll find new route geofences, reporting improvements, and updates across the platform.
Read on for all the highlights from the October release! And you can always find our Beta release notes here.

- A major upgrade to the Terminal! We've refreshed the Terminal to make device data easier to read and work with. New customization options include hexadecimal formatting and feed direction controls, giving you more flexibility when troubleshooting and working with device messages.
- GpsGate AI ✨ is now available for all applications! Use the assistant to pull fleet queries, create event rules, troubleshoot device data, get help with scripting, and more.
- REST API documentation is now available directly in GpsGate. Browse and test API endpoints from within the platform without setting up an API key.
- Faster, easier Route Geofences. Enter a starting address and destination to create a geofence that follows the route between them.
- Share an asset's location without track history. You can now disable track history when publishing a location, both from the Share Location page and through the API.
- 34 new trackers are integrated to the platform from Jimi-IoT, Ruptela, Suntech, and Teltonika
- Manage Report Templates & Data Providers is now available in the platform. Create, edit, import, and preview report templates, with access to the query editor.
- More context and control in Geofences. View the groups and Event Rules connected to a geofence directly from the map. Click to open related groups or rules, or edit the geofence from its information card. We've also improved how geofences are displayed, filtered, and updated, including more reliable map pins and faster loading for users with many geofence groups.
- GpsGate AI ✨ can now help with driver identification. Ask about RFID cards, iButtons, driver-to-vehicle assignments, and how driver information appears in events, notifications, and reports. You can also ask for a list of drivers and their Driver IDs.
- More Maintenance insights with GpsGate AI ✨. Ask which vehicles are due or overdue for service, review upcoming maintenance, explore service history, and get guidance on setting up service schedules.
- New native fields to assets and vehicles, like VIN, license plate, make, model, and more
- Find assets beyond your selected groups. Search results now distinguish assets outside your selected groups, and you can click an asset to show its last known position on the map.
- A clearer Reports menu. Report options have been reorganized to make it easier to find Run Report, Scheduled Reports, Manage Reports, and Manage Report Templates.
- Maintenance reminder emails now use the application's configured language, with English as a fallback.
- Improve Fleet app behavior with slow internet connections, including how the app handles connection-loss messages.
- Event Rules created in the new editor can now trigger sound alarms when the Sound Alarm plugin is installed.
- Fixes to Geofences:
-filtering by group could show incorrect results when a geofence belonged to multiple groups
-pinned geofences could flicker, disappear during updates, or lose their pinned state after reopening the panel
-group exports and improved feedback when exporting larger groups
-improved geofence expression evaluation performance - Fix an issue where the Maintenance app could fail to load service logs and upcoming services.
- Fix an issue where changing a mapped variable in Device Mapper did not update the available variables in the Simulator.
- Fix an issue where a new driver could not be added if the Driver user type had been renamed.
- Fix an issue where a large number of configured email notifications could slow device message queues and cause messages to be dropped.
- Fix an issue where analyzing speed in Charts could create a duplicate graph that could not be removed.
- Fix to add Asset Status Templates back in the main menu.
- Fix issues affecting Event Rule detailed and summary reports for groups.
- Fix an issue where the API key field was not visible in What3Words Geocoder settings.
- Fix an issue where the Windy map layer animation could flicker or appear too faint.
