February 2024

Driving GpsGate’s February release are more updates to our Maintenance feature. Fleet managers can now change costs during or after service tasks, and add historical services to vehicles within GpsGate to keep more holistic records of upkeep.

Want to keep vehicles road-ready? GpsGate Cloud users can enable and configure Maintenance in the platform via the Store.

Other highlights from February include 17 new device integrations and a facelift to the GpsGate store.

GpsGate users stay ahead with an updated platform. Do you use the Fleet App? Visit the Google Play and App stores to update. See our February Beta Release Notes here for all the details!

New

Maintenance (GpsGate Cloud Premium Feature)

Resource costs change. Two service stations may sell tires or oil at different prices, so we made it possible to change costs during and after service tasks to account for this. What’s more? GpsGate Cloud users can now add historical services within the Maintenance feature to keep a better record of vehicle upkeep. Here are some more highlights:

  • Add an option to add an old service via the vehicle right-click menu in the Maintenance feature
  • Add an option to change the total cost for resources in tasks
  • Introduce Next Service instead of First Service
  • Simplify the Maintenance panel and setup for service schedules
  • Enhance the usability of the feature

Developer & System Admin

  • Remove Maps and Geocoders sub-menu items. System Admins will now open the settings page by clicking on Maps and Geocoders in the menu. Items in the previous sub-menu can now be found in the application's Main menu
  • Installations that have been updated from beta.gpsgate.com will no longer receive updates automatically (this affects all GpsGate Cloud and On-site platforms)

Device Plugins

Whether it’s hardware supporting asset tracking or stolen vehicle recovery our device team stays responsive to the needs of our fleet partners. This month, they added an impressive 17 new devices to GpsGate’s platform. Here are the highlights:
