June release: Vehicle status icons, Dispatch & Dashboard previews
New vehicle status icons give you real-time status on map. PLUS preview releases! Dispatch changes how field workers submit job data on-site. Dashboard gives a whole new outlook on real-time data.
Vehicle status icons
More UI updates: vehicle status icons have been overhauled! Real-time vehicle status can now be the vehicle marker on the map, so you see status at a glance. You know not just whether a vehicle is connected, but whether it’s parked, idling, or moving. This means more critical information available without any additional windows or screen space required.
If a vehicle isn’t connected, you see a status of ‘unknown’ as well as the last available status sent to your server. You can define the time threshold upon which a vehicle’s status is marked as unknown. Learn how to enable status icons here.
Dispatch preview release
Beta updates this month affect job creation, job documentation, and job completion.
Media custom fields: field workers can upload photo, video, and audio files in the mobile app. You can document completed jobs, onsite conditions, and more.
Sign on glass: allows client signature directly in the mobile app. Workers can get a signature on-site to verify the job as complete. The collected signatures are available for operators and managers in Vehicle Tracker.
Scheduling: You can now set routes as recurring. Many businesses have daily or weekly jobs that are always on the same schedule. Input the route once, set the schedule, and never waste time creating it again.
*Don’t forget - our Dispatch mobile apps are open source, so you can customize them as you need. And our APIs mean that all Dispatch data (including media files!) can be integrated with your other business systems.
Dashboard preview release
Our new Dashboard redesign is available in beta and it’s better than ever. We introduced carousel views (as with Dispatch) to help you see exactly the data you need. The display type matches the data shown: real-time numerical data, percentages, and trend graphs.
There is back-end optimization to maintain your app speed even when pulling Dashboard data for large fleets. It’s easy to configure, so you’ll be up and running in no time.
A bird’s eye view of critical stats in real-time is key to monitoring business performance. Real-time data lets you address things as they are happening. It can help you stop business issues in their tracks.
Another REST API has been added: GET is now available to fetch user latest statuses. An SOS button is also now available in the Android tracker.
