Updated Area Search + Slack notifications
The summer holiday is nearly over. To welcome you back to the office, our August release brings an updated look to Area Search, brand-new Slack compatibility, and a slew of UI improvements.
New and Improved Area Search
Area Search is the ultimate tool for getting answers fast. Fleet managers click and drag to select an area on the map and voila – you can view vehicle activity with the map.
Which vehicles have been in a certain neighborhood or geofence the most the past week? Within Area Search, you can also monitor event rule activity. See a list of all the POI activity, track speeding events, view SOS signals, and other custom event rules.
Need to follow-up on an incident or complaint regarding your fleet? Use the Area Search tool to answer important questions about your fleet’s activity. Was it our company truck who was seen speeding last Friday in the neighborhood? Area Search gives you the insight to confirm individual fleet vehicle and driving behavior.
Our developers have modernized the look and feel of our Area Search tool in this release. Its intuitive design for data visualization makes it easy to use for fleet managers.

Notifications in Slack from GpsGate
It should be easy to stay updated about important fleet activity. Event rules can be configured to send alerts in-app, via email, by SMS, and as push notifications to the Fleet App. With this release, our team has added another brand-new option – notifications via Slack. You now have more ways to get the data you need when you need it and where you need it. You can send notifications to any channel or conversation in Slack to make sure the right people receive the notification. Learn more about GpsGate notifications in Slack.
