User Experience

We've updated our welcome window to get new users started on the right foot. When entering the application, the Getting Started window gives you the option to set up a GPS tracking device or test with a GpsGate simulator in a user-friendly design. Using new tools and features within GpsGate should be intuitive. This month, we've also cleaned up the context menu in the application. As you right-click, you'll navigate with a clean layout that includes color updates, and legible typography.

• Visual updates to the context menu that appears when right-clicking on the vehicles on the map or in the Vehicle List.
• Updates to the Map Toolbar for an updated look and feel.

Fleet app
This month, our team has improved the way data is displayed in our mobile Fleet application. You'll find a toggle setting to customize the way you view variables in your vehicle details.

• Add a toggle to set the visibility of all custom variables.
• Add 'Last received' as a sorting option.
• Vehicle variables design updates.
• Vehicle variables now have both 'Changed' and 'Received' fields.

Developer & System Administration
Looking for some more easy-editing tricks? We've moved Site Admin User editing into the application. You can now use batch editing to give multiple users access to applications without navigating back to Site Admin. More improvements to streamline your admin tasks:

• Application names in the main menu application selector are now automatically updated after changing the application name.
• Remove the application from the application selector after deleting an application.

Device Plugins
Each month, our dedicated device integration team configures new variables and signals to the GPS tracking devices and accessories you depend on. New this month in GpsGate:

• Teltonika Telematics: we've added support for advanced beacon signals, and multiple device inputs to FMB003, FMB120, FMB130, FMB920, FMC003, FMC130, FMM00A, FMM1100, FMM230, and TFT100 tracking devices.
• Meitrack: we've added new variables to support the MD500S and T399L devices.
• Queclink: a variety of new inputs added to the GL320MG, GV200, GV350, and GV300CAN tracking devices.

User Experience

• Improve logic for showing tooltips in Find Closest Vehicle.
• Updates to visuals to support a more robust content layout and prevent breakage when localizing.

Developer & System Administration

• Improve error message when using Route Message while the Script Direct Listener is disabled.
• Remove Map client cache over cache for URL.
• In case of an HttpExpression failure, the response text is logged as part of the error.

User Experience

• Bug fix for Vehicle Status templates: for cases when widget/action button-window wouldn't be displayed on top.
• Bug fix that caused pages Site Admin > Settings > Email > Edit email provider and Edit SMS provider to not display any data in the form.
• Bug fix that for cases when the New Resource window in Maintenance is displayed as blank.

Developer & System Administration

• Fix to update device's create time to get user details.
• Fix privileges causing failures when merging application templates.
• Fix legibility issues caused by content overflow in Vehicle List.
• Fix null reference exception.
• Bug fix for improperly installed Dispatch plugin.

User Experience

• Crash status icons are now visible in the Vehicle list column and the Crash Data Graph. This allows fleet managers to have quick visuals on vehicles with crash data. Includes info tooltip.
• New version of Vehicle Status markers. Users who upgraded to Beta need to reconfigure their templates to get the latest version of this tool.

Developer & System Administration

• Add support for page breaks in Excel reports.
• Support using hostname instead of IP as a target for Data Forward.
• New Spanish language keys for Maintenance and Localization editor.
• Messaging broker RabbitMQ now supports AMQPS for extra secure communications.

In case you missed it - we've integrated Windy.com's weather map as a map layer in Beta. Test this map in the application under the "Maps" category in Privileges and Features. Windy's map provides interactive weather forecasting on a global scale. Use this map layer to get the latest local weather and use it to better inform your fleet movements.

Device Plugins
GpsGate's device integration team works closely with lead manufacturers to bring the latest GPS capabilities to your platform. Improvements, new signals, and fixes ensure that your devices always give you accurate fleet data. New this month:

• New vehicle tracking devices from Teltonika. The FMC800 is a small OBDII Plug and Play device with 4G LTE Cat 1 and Bluetooth connectivity. Teltonika's FMM800 is a tracking terminal with GNSS and LTE/GSM connectivity.
• Hogia and Squarell devices are now compatible with GpsGate's platform.
• Further device improvements from our partner GPS device manufacturers include Queclink and Meitrack.

Security
With our ISO certification, we're constantly evaluating the platform and adding more protection. With this month's security updates, we've strengthened password and user session settings.

User Experience

• Map toolbar has improved layout and colors.
• Improve select component, select all, and select none functionality.

Developer & System Administration

• Improve performance when resolving variable values for event notifiers.
• Support all SSL protocols for secure TCP connections.

Bugs happen. Each month, we're quick to process support tickets to keep our end users performing at the highest standard!

User Experience

• Fix bugs and layout issues in Area Search.
• Maintenance and Fleet app bug fixes for a more intuitive UI.

Developer & System Administration

• Fix CSV file content when exporting from the Events panel. The file now contains ​​ClosedByUser​​ column for past events.
• Fix for sharing location (Publish link function).
• Fix POI import.
• Fix REST API to support adding users to Site Admin.
• Fix issue that caused error "Session was not found with Session id = -1" on login page, although login was possible after page reload.
• Fix search field in Site Administration > Manage Applications > Edit Application, which now returns results regardless of letter case.

User Experience
Our team of developers is always working to make GpsGate more intuitive to use. This month, we've changed the way that you can interact with panels and columns:

• Double-click a panel header or panel tab to minimize and maximize it. Similar to Window behavior.
• Double-click a column separator to minimize and maximize the column.

Developer & System Administration
Do you use ArcGIS map layers to better visualize local conditions? With this month's update, we've integrated Web Map Tile Service (WMTS) within our ArcGIS map layer. Retrieve geofenced map tiles and the microdata you need for better vehicle scheduling and routing. To use this function, update the ArcGIS Map API to 3.42 and 4.25 respectively.

*Last month, we integrated Windy.com's weather map as a map layer in Beta. Test this map in the application under the "Maps" category in Privileges and Features. Windy's map provides interactive weather forecasting on a global scale. Use this map layer to get the latest local weather and use it to better inform your fleet movements.

System integrators appreciate customizing the way they view data within GpsGate. You can now save your application's Workspace to display accumulator start values in the Daily Summary panel. Additionally, an update to GpsGate's Fleet smartphone app gives you the ability to view Vehicle Status. You can now hide, show, and reorder fields for better visibility. You'll see further changes below:

• Add support to batch edit Status Indicator and Position Marker in the application. Learn more about this feature here.
• Add instructional text updates in Email, Error, and Profiling Logs when the table is blank.
• Add an info message that appears in Application and Template List when the table doesn't have any information to display.
• Display Odometer Distance Factor value with selected number format (culture) settings in User Form.
• Support for Okta and Azure AD with SAML SSO.
• REST API methods now include an original user application identifiers.

• Updates to the Localization Editor's design and functionality give our tracking partners the ability to further customize our user interface with unique terminology and local languages.

• Unify repo URL handling in Deploy V2 using REST API.
• Keep listener IP address synced between config file and DB.

• Fix SAML integration by passing the AuthnRequest to the Identity provider.

• Manage your shared vehicle locations - you can now view active published links and cancel them. The sharing URLS are also shorter.
• Show track point data during Tracks replay.
• Show vehicle marker labels when running track replay, dragging the playhead or stepping through track points in the timeline.
• Add a search bar to the main menu for easy access to menu and submenu items.
• Add user onboarding for "Find closest vehicle" to better assist end users in learning how to use this feature.
• Add Latitude and Longitude column options for the vehicle list.
• Add accumulator data to available columns in Daily Summary.

• Disable watchdog alerts on invalid licenses.
• Copy change in Manage Applications table to reflect more specific billing.
• Remove unused localization keys. These keys were also not being sorted properly in the Localization Editor.
• Improve performance when using aggregate function template variables in event rules. For example, when using ReportArgumentNotifiers with $MAX([SOMEVARIABLE]).

User Experience

• Bug fix in cases when the selected column in the vehicle list did not sort after switching views.
• Bug fix for POI search.

Developer & System Administration

• Fix a bug that prevented "Invariant culture" to be saved for the application in Edit Application form.
• Fix to Device Mapper. Switched off listeners will not be shown in the Device Mapper window.
• Fix a bug to avoid errors when saving an application as template.
• Form fix for Site Admin "Reports reprocessing" dates.
• Fix that allows to delete a group that doesn't belong to a geofence event expression.
• Fix a bug that caused Tracks Panel to display "Heading" as 0 (zero) when track points were considered a fat point.
• Fix when the "References" table under "App Builder" scripts didn't show data.
• Changes in database handling for AWS Aurora Serverless v1. Fix rare case where locks to exclusive resources were not released causing intermittent errors.

Passenger Manager was deprecated with June's release. Dispatch was deprecated with March's release.

User Experience

• Tracks: Map moves to follow vehicles when running track replay.
• Charts: Charts now allows color coding of variables.
• Closest vehicle tool: draws a straight line when hovering or clicking on a vehicle.

Developer & System Administration

• New, consistent format of reporting file name, containing dates. This update applies to scheduled reports that are dowloaded and sent via e-mail.
• Updated ArcGIS map API to 4.24 and 3.41 for improved performance.
• Google Maps traffic button can now be invoked using keyboard.

Device Plugins
We're constantly updating device plugins and adding more supported devices. This month, our development team added:

• Tracking-KSA TFA412, TFA414, TFB303, TFB313, TFB323, and TFB402 devices.
• AOVX VX300 device.
• Signals and inputs to Teltonika, Queclink, Meitrack, Howen, and GlobalmatiX devices.

User Experience

• Add text color to Daily Summary bounding box context menu rows.
• Add export functionality to Daily Summary.
• Show trail of selected menu items in application main menu.
• Change initial panel height to fit welcome message.
• Improve performance of device mapper loading.

Developer & System Administration

• Update the Event API to allow fetching events for a user tag.
• System errors are now found within user applications in Site Admin in addition to Site Admin (Legacy).
• 'Subscription has expired' message now the displays the subscription id making it easier to find the affected servers.
• Draw event and standstills on event map layer.
• Removed deprecated "Default vehicle" field in User Access Mask Editor -> Driver info section.
  - Moved Driver ID to Details section to match User Edit form placement.
  - Removed Driver Info section from User Access Mask Editor.

Improvement to make administrator and application tag names:

• legible in search fields despite the length of application name
• easy to search for in all 'Manage applications' fields

User Experience

• Fix issue so that panels are correctly displayed after toggling back and forth in the application.
• Fix rare case where UI updates such as position are missing after a lost network connection is regained.
• SplitButton now supports longer titles without stretching outside the title container.
