The ISO (International Organization for Standardization) certification for information security management provides a seal of excellence, showing that GpsGate adheres to internationally recognized standards.

Developer & System Administration

• Need to view a support article or submit a ticket? The GpsGate Support Portal can now be accessed in the application main menu -> Site Admin.
• Script Editor "fields" Test values now show mapped variables by default. Additional variables are now added via the dropdown in the "fields" section.

Device Plugins
We're constantly updating GpsGate's device plugins to give you unrivaled fleet tracking data. With new devices and even more inputs than last month, you're able to keep up with the vehicle signals that keep fleets productive. Interested in video telematics? New to our platform this month is the DSM Camera accessory from Teletonika Telematics. Supported by both the FMB640 and FMC640 tracking devices, this camera detects common in-cab behavior that can lead to dangerous driving.

Device updates to GpsGate this month include:

• Queclink Wireless: add accessories and messaging compatible with the GV355CEU device, parsing data updates
• Teltonika Telematics: DSM Camera support, signals additions for FMC125, FMC150, FMB120, FMB640, and FMC640 devices
• Cypress Solutions: updates to data types and variables for Cypress Solution devices
• Jimi IoT (Concox): new inputs for the JM-VL502 device and updated support for the GT06 tracking device
• Galileosky: data conversion for inputs like CAN data and mileage
• Howen: add support for Alarm Status for Howen's product line

Developer & System Administration

Whether you use GpsGate's native map, Google Maps, or ESRI maps with ArcGIS layers - detailed fleet coordinates are important. With the reverse geocoding function, users can transform a location on the map into an address that will display in the Vehicle List. This month, we've optimized resources used to pull this data so fleet managers can count on even more accuracy in pulling geolocations without an impact on performance.

Last month, we rebooted our Device Mapper. With faster loading times, system admins can tweak device inputs and signal data. Improvements this month include:

• increasing the width of the Variable column so it fits longer variable names.
• adding a tooltip to the Device input column.
• adding the option to resize the column widths.

Further improvements that system admins will notice:

• Improved error handling for email service providers.
• Improvements to the table component in admin panels.
• Handle reports with no position (0,0). Replaces (0,0) positions with the latest known position of the device.

User Experience

As software developers, we're always thinking about how to give our users the best experience possible. This month, you'll notice a few simple tweaks to build upon our intuitive, clean UI. Here are the highlights:

• Tracks: rearrange map layers for improved visibility on the map.
• The split button now has the main action to the left and a drop-down arrow on the right for a cleaner UI.
• Improve UI responsiveness when the map contains a large number of POIs.
• Driver rule updates to fix any error processing driver tracks when a Driver Rule Has been removed or replaced. Validates that only one Driver Rule can be created per application.

Bugs happen. As soon as we learn about them, we fix them to keep your platform sailing smoothly.

User Experience

• Bug fix where IAC for Closest Vehicle and Area search would display while the map was not visible.
• Bug fix to prevent log errors to console on startup for Chart.
• Bug fix that was causing a blank page after creating a new application.

Developer & System Administration

• Fix NullReferenceException when a RabbitMQ notifier tries to use a disabled RabbitMQ configuration.
• Bug fix that showed device input variables in the Script Editor "fields" Test values. These variables could not be resolved when inserting test values. This happened for new scripts created via the Device Mapper.
• Fix ​false warning​ security audit in a UI library.

Removed Passenger Manager plugin with April 2023's release.

Developer & System Administration
Updates to the Store allow you to apply GpsGate's free and premium features to applications, like Area Search. Area Search is a powerful feature that delivers geo-specific details. Fleet managers click and drag to select an area on the map to track historical fleet details: Who drove in this portion of the map? What events occurred here? Have drivers been speeding in this zone?

More changes for system admins:

• Area Search is enabled via the Store.
• Google Maps and Area Search are now part of the Updates.v5 plugin.

Device Plugins

Each month, our dedicated device integration team configures new variables and signals to the GPS tracking devices and accessories you depend on. Device updates to GpsGate this month:

• Queclink Wireless: add UDF support for GV300, GV300W and GL300
• Teltonika Telematics: new to GpsGate this month is the FMM003. We've added support for advanced signals on multiple devices including the FMC150 new inputs added
• Jimi IoT/Concox: GT06, new device JC450
• Further updates to ORBCOMM and Howen can be found on their device manufacturer pages.

Developer & System Administration

Faster loading times mean better access for system admins. GpsGate’s device mapper tool is a place to configure details of tracking devices and signals. From the application, we’ve improved this pop-up window’s loading speed. This makes it easier for technicians and engineers to tweak device inputs and signal data. The GpsGate team is committed to making load times for complex data as fast as possible.

• The edit device mapper window now opens faster and has a new layout and look. You can still find it following the same path: Main menu -> Admin -> Device mappers.
• Site Admin users are now allowed to log in to expired apps to access Site Admin settings.
• Reporting: handle unicode characters in reports data store for MySQL. Unsupported characters will be replaced with a ?.
• Use HTTPS to get server external IP.
• Use ILogger instead of NLog.Logger in NmeaConnection class.

User Experience

• We've added a link to the Support Portal in the Store so that tips and troubleshooting info is easy to find.

With this month's release, users have more visibility into their billing details. Look into total vehicles tracked, Google Maps users, and vehicles using GpsGate Maintenance - across applications. The Billing window's straightforward design makes it easy to dial down with price per unit, current balances, and estimated totals for the billing cycle. This tool makes budget forecasting easier for you and your fleet customers.

• Find all of the updated billing info in Site Admin > Account > Billing (formerly named License).
• The Billing window can now drill down to see more details about a product and which applications and users are contributing to the cost.

User Experience

• Visual updates to the context menu that appears when right-clicking on the vehicles on the map or in the Vehicle List.
• Updates to the Map Toolbar for an updated look and feel.

Device Plugins
Each month, our dedicated device integration team configures new variables and signals to the GPS tracking devices and accessories you depend on. Device updates to GpsGate this month:

• Teltonika Telematics: we've added support for advanced signals on multiple devices. New to GpsGate's platform are the FMC150, FMB150, FMC150, and FMM150 tracking devices.
• Coban: ignition signal support for GPS303 device.
• Meitrack: update command acknowledgments.
• GlobalmatiX: TrackPoint timestamp updates.

User Experience

We've simplified the way that Vehicle Status is displayed. By default, all variables (including mapped fields, custom fields, and user attributes) will be shown for all vehicles. Admins have a more user-friendly way to assign a template to users and tags than ever before. Instead of using the batch edit tool, you can now create a template and assign it to specific users and tags.

• New default setting for Vehicle Status. Workspaces now include Vehicle Status in a popover.
• UI update to the Action button in the Vehicle Info panel.
• Mobile Fleet app updated for Android users.
• Improved error handling for email services.

• Updates to product timezone database.
• Add user "name" property for REST API. endpoint:/applications/{applicationid:int}/usersstatus.
• When TrackPoint's UTC is older than 30 minutes the VehicleStatus is set to PARKED_ENGINE_OFF instead of DEVICE_NOT_WORKING.
• For GpsGate Cloud instances, client resource content is loaded from the delivery network.
• Add 'lastModified' for 'getLatestRecords' for specific user IDs.

User Experience

We've updated our welcome window to get new users started on the right foot. When entering the application, the Getting Started window gives you the option to set up a GPS tracking device or test with a GpsGate simulator in a user-friendly design. Using new tools and features within GpsGate should be intuitive. This month, we've also cleaned up the context menu in the application. As you right-click, you'll navigate with a clean layout that includes color updates, and legible typography.

• Visual updates to the context menu that appears when right-clicking on the vehicles on the map or in the Vehicle List.
• Updates to the Map Toolbar for an updated look and feel.

Fleet app
This month, our team has improved the way data is displayed in our mobile Fleet application. You'll find a toggle setting to customize the way you view variables in your vehicle details.

• Add a toggle to set the visibility of all custom variables.
• Add 'Last received' as a sorting option.
• Vehicle variables design updates.
• Vehicle variables now have both 'Changed' and 'Received' fields.

Developer & System Administration
Looking for some more easy-editing tricks? We've moved Site Admin User editing into the application. You can now use batch editing to give multiple users access to applications without navigating back to Site Admin. More improvements to streamline your admin tasks:

• Application names in the main menu application selector are now automatically updated after changing the application name.
• Remove the application from the application selector after deleting an application.

• Teltonika Telematics: we've added support for advanced beacon signals, and multiple device inputs to FMB003, FMB120, FMB130, FMB920, FMC003, FMC130, FMM00A, FMM1100, FMM230, and TFT100 tracking devices.
• Meitrack: we've added new variables to support the MD500S and T399L devices.
• Queclink: a variety of new inputs added to the GL320MG, GV200, GV350, and GV300CAN tracking devices.

• Improve logic for showing tooltips in Find Closest Vehicle.
• Updates to visuals to support a more robust content layout and prevent breakage when localizing.

• Improve error message when using Route Message while the Script Direct Listener is disabled.
• Remove Map client cache over cache for URL.
• In case of an HttpExpression failure, the response text is logged as part of the error.

User Experience

• Crash status icons are now visible in the Vehicle list column and the Crash Data Graph. This allows fleet managers to have quick visuals on vehicles with crash data. Includes info tooltip.
• New version of Vehicle Status markers. Users who upgraded to Beta need to reconfigure their templates to get the latest version of this tool.

• Support using hostname instead of IP as a target for Data Forward.
• New Spanish language keys for Maintenance and Localization editor.
• Messaging broker RabbitMQ now supports AMQPS for extra secure communications.

In case you missed it - we've integrated Windy.com's weather map as a map layer in Beta. Test this map in the application under the "Maps" category in Privileges and Features. Windy's map provides interactive weather forecasting on a global scale. Use this map layer to get the latest local weather and use it to better inform your fleet movements.

Device Plugins
GpsGate's device integration team works closely with lead manufacturers to bring the latest GPS capabilities to your platform. Improvements, new signals, and fixes ensure that your devices always give you accurate fleet data. New this month:

• New vehicle tracking devices from Teltonika. The FMC800 is a small OBDII Plug and Play device with 4G LTE Cat 1 and Bluetooth connectivity. Teltonika's FMM800 is a tracking terminal with GNSS and LTE/GSM connectivity.
• Hogia and Squarell devices are now compatible with GpsGate's platform.
• Further device improvements from our partner GPS device manufacturers include Queclink and Meitrack.

Security
With our ISO certification, we're constantly evaluating the platform and adding more protection. With this month's security updates, we've strengthened password and user session settings.

• Map toolbar has improved layout and colors.
• Improve select component, select all, and select none functionality.

Developer & System Administration

• Improve performance when resolving variable values for event notifiers.
• Support all SSL protocols for secure TCP connections.

• Fix CSV file content when exporting from the Events panel. The file now contains ​​ClosedByUser​​ column for past events.
• Fix for sharing location (Publish link function).
• Fix POI import.
• Fix REST API to support adding users to Site Admin.
• Fix issue that caused error "Session was not found with Session id = -1" on login page, although login was possible after page reload.
• Fix search field in Site Administration > Manage Applications > Edit Application, which now returns results regardless of letter case.
